Fubar II

Fubar II is the hilarious follow-up to 2002’s well received Fubar. We catch up to Calgarians Terry (David Lawrence) and Dean (Paul Spence) as Dean is celebrating the remission of his cancer below the waist even though surgery has left him a “Unitarian” so to speak. The celebration gets a little out of hand after the boisterous Tron (Andrew Sparacino) arrives with his party chainsaw that reduces their rental house to ashes – not to worry, they were facing eviction anyway. Besides Tron promised to hook them up with big money jobs in the Fort Mac Murray oil patch. However when they make a frigid entry into “The Mac” they soon realize that the streets are not paved with perto dollars – Not right away at least but once they get rubber stamped safety certificates the easy money starts rolling in. But while Terry snuggles into his new life of fat paycheques for little work with his mercenary new squeeze Trish (cast standout Terra Hazelton) Dean is finding even this minimalist workload too taxing for his slacker sensibilities. However while trying to fleece WCB for a self inflicted wound he finds that his old foe has returned in a life threatening way. Who knew that life as a castrata would fulfill his life long dream. The original Fubar had the ability to reel you in to almost believing it was a legitimate documentary, What reels you in this time is the sympathy you feel for a couple of guys that in real life would give you the creeps. Here FUBAR isn’t Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition, it’s Funny Unique Boisterous And Raucous.
