Attached please find the latest statistics from the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver.

The News Release extols April 2016 as the highest selling April on record.

 Last month compared to the previous April Metro Vancouver residential sales climb 14.4 percent. Unprecedented and intense demand for detached, attached and apartment homes continues to quickly outstrip supply so that although the inventory of new listings last month is 3.9 percent higher than April 2015, the total inventory of listed properties is down by 39.3 percent year to year. Composite value is up 25.3 percent April to April.

The graph presents the April average price of attached units in Greater Vancouver as 0.2 percent under that of March 2016. Last month compared to April 2015 the benchmark price for a townhome rises 22.1 percent. Attached unit sales drop year to year by 11.5 percent.

Last month versus April 2015 Vancouver west townhouse prices increase by 23.4 percent. In April 2016 attached unit sales are 13.5 percent under that of the previous April. Year to year inventory is 25.3 percent lower.

From March to April west side attached sales show a 10.1 percent decrease. Month to month Vancouver west attached inventory increases by 7.3 percent.
