Vancouver West Houses

June 2016 statistics
Attached please find the latest statistics from the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver.

The News Release notes that March through June in Greater Vancouver more homes have been listed for sale than in any other four month period since 2010. Never the less, supply does not balance with demand and Buyers continue competing to become owners. New listings of all property types increase 1.2 percent year to year but the total inventory of listed properties is down by 35.9 percent last month compared to June 2015. Metro Vancouver residential sales rise 0.6 percent year to year. Composite value is up 32.1 percent June to June.

The graph shows the average price for Greater Vancouver detached properties rebounding from May to June with a 1.4 percent increase. The benchmark price for detached houses last month compared to June 2015 is up 38.7 percent. The volume of house sales rises by 18.6 percent year to year.

Last month versus June 2015 Vancouver west detached prices are 36.4 percent higher. Year to year west side detached sales decrease 35.6 percent. We see an inventory drop of 14.3 percent June to June.

May to June sales of west side houses go down 20.4 percent. Month to month detached inventory is reduced by 8.3 percent.
